Tampa Bay Fails
Tampa Bay had the opportunity to get a lot more than a 4th round pick from Jacksonville. Tampa was jumping up to take Justin Blackmon to keep him away from St. Louis at 6. Tampa should have gotten a 3rd and 4th from the Jags.
On the Clock
The Indianapolis Colts made the obvious choice and added Peyton Manning’s successor, Andrew Luck. The Colts wasted no time getting the pick in within 7 minutes of the start of the Draft.
The Washington Redskins look to do the same thing next by adding Robert Griffin III. Cleveland will then jump quickly to get Trent Richardson after their trade with Minnesota.
Pick 4 is where the drama begins. Does Minnesota trade down again, do they take Claiborne… we shall see.
Minnesota Moves Down
The Cleveland Browns, obviously desperate to add a dominating physical Running Back, moved up one spot by trading with the Minnesota Vikings. The move appears to be Cleveland’s shot at keeping Trent Richardson away from Tampa Bay. Tampa was thought to be the most likely team to move into the 3 spot, but the Browns beat them to the punch.
Cleveland gave up their pick in the 1st round, 4th overall, along with their fourth pick (118), fifth (139), and seventh (211) round picks to slide up the one spot they needed to guarantee that Trent Richardson would be a Brown.
Richardson will be the first player off the board to have a solid fantasy value in 2012. Not since Adrian Peterson came out was there a running back who could step into the league and produce. The biggest advantage Richardson will have is he is coming into a run heavy system and looks to be able to carry the load.

Calvin is your Cover Boy
EA Sports puts Calvin “Megatron” Johnson on the cover of Madden 2013.
The final two canidates as voted on by fans was Calvin Johnson and Cam Newton. The voting was incredibly close with Megatron taking 52 % of the fan voting.
Previous Madden cover players have suffered from what has been deemed the Madden Curse. Players have lost season due to health, both mental and physical. Some made it through the year unscathed but would go on to have serious off the field issues and most recently last year Peyton Hillis had his least productive season of his career, upset an entire origination and was ran out of a city that desperately needed his play and the list goes on..
Eagles Samuel Flys Away
Asante Samuel leaves the Philadelphia Eagles and heads south to play the Dirty Birds down in Atlanta. The new Falcon corner will join yet another packed secondary with Dunta Robinson and Brent Grimes. The possibility being that Robinson will slide back to safety and allow Samuel to come in at the starting corner spot. Philadelphia received only a seventh round pick for the former shut down corner, but having Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Nnamdi Asomugha left Samuel on the outside looking in.
Samuel agrees to restructure his contract and by doing so gets a 3 year 16 million dollar extension.
Final NFL Mock Draft
We have spent hours breaking down team needs and player ability. We’ve looked at what player will fit each teams system and schemes and believe we have come up with an educated Mock NFL Draft. This draft is based on where a player will be pick and if there is a likelyhood of that position making a trade we have indicated as such.
understanding NFL Draft strategies
This years draft contains a superb level of top end talent, it becomes a bit week towards the late second round and through the 3rd, however the late round small school talent is very deep. All teams with a first round pick have the ability to improve their roster drastically if they make the right pick. Take a look and see who each NFL club should be taking.

Vikings add on Defense and prevent a subtraction
The Minnesota Vikings have shored up their Defense with two signings on Tuesday. Minnesota added secondary depth by nabbing former Chicago Bears corner back Zack Bowman on a one year deal. Bowman showed great read and recognition skills when he burst on the scene in 2009 with 6 picks and 10 deflections. He has not however been able to reproduce that level of performance over the past two seasons and lost his starting position in 2010 to Tim Jennings.
The Vikings kept Outside Linebacker Erin Henderson from escaping by inking the 4 year pro to a one year deal. Henderson was fourth on the Vikings in 2011 with 91 tackles, he also had 8 tackles for loss in his first full time stint as a starter.
